Under the Hood

The 2018 Jeep Renegade comes standard with a 1.4-liter turbo-four engine that produces 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This powerful engine still manages to offer plenty of fuel efficiency. You can expect to get up to 34 miles per gallon highway and 21 miles per gallon city.

You can also upgrade your engine to the optional 2.4-liter I-4 with 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. This engine gives you more power without hurting the fuel efficiency. With this 2.4-liter engine, you get up to 30 miles per gallon highway and 22 miles per gallon city.

Interior Comfort and Space

The 2018 Renegade has a slightly different interior than previous models. There are now more seat colors and materials available such McKinley leather trim in black and gray, topographic cloth in black, Washington cloth in sand, or mesh cloth in black and sand.

The interior of the Renegade is also more spacious than its predecessors. It has 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk, and if you need more, you can fold down the back row to give yourself an incredible 50.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Passengers in the front and rear can enjoy more legroom and headroom than ever before as well.

Technology Upgrades

The new Renegade is equipped with the latest generation of the UConnect system. Every Renegade comes standard with the UConnect 3 5-inch touch screen. It offers you AM/FM radio, Bluetooth streaming audio, hands-free calling, and voice text reply.

You can also opt for the available 7-inch touch screen which also includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio. For those who need to stay connected on the road, there is also an available 8.4-inch UConnect 4C Nav touch-screen infotainment system that includes everything the other systems offer as well as Sirius Navigation and Sirius XM Travel Link.

Safety Features

The Jeep Renegade is packed with active and passive safety features that will help keep your mind at ease each time you get behind the wheel. The Renegade comes standard with full-length front and rear side-curtain air bags, seat-mounted side air bags, a driver-side knee bolster air bag, and advanced multi-stage driver and front passenger air bags.

The new Renegade also has a few safety technologies available such as full-speed forward collision warning, active braking, blind spot monitoring, rear parking assistance, automatic high-beam headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Another fantastic safety feature available on the 2018 Renegade is the UConnect Roadside Assistance Service. Simply push the UConnect button that is inside your vehicle to be connected to an operator who can help you. The service is good if you get a flat tire, need to be towed, or have an accident.
