2015 Jeep Renegade by a stag statue. The 2018 Renegade is Jeep’s smallest vehicle, a subcompact crossover that offers a surprisingly nice interior for its low starting price and a capable off-road ability that can match anything else Jeep has to offer. The Renegade comes in six exciting trim levels, and each one offers a different combination of features, value, and performance.

Sport

The Sport kicks things off with a low MSRP of just $18,445 for the front-wheel drive version. Despite the low starting price, the Sport comes standard with features like a 5-inch touch screen, a rearview camera, and Bluetooth streaming audio. It also delivers 160 horsepower from a 1.4-liter engine thanks to the standard turbocharger.

Latitude

Next up comes the Latitude. The Latitude costs quite a bit more than the Sport, but in exchange, you get standard features like a 7-inch touch screen with the next generation of Uconnect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enabled, a year’s subscription to SiriusXM Radio, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. You can also get an available Beats premium audio system starting with this trim.

Altitude

The Altitude is a smaller jump up in price, but then it’s one of the 2018 Renegade’s two special edition trims. The Altitude has the same features list as the Latitude, but it shakes things up visually with a set of gloss-black 18-inch wheels, and this black finish extends to the seats and the interior finish. Still, the main exterior color can be any of the usual colors available to the other trims.

Upland

Like the Altitude, the Upland is another limited edition trim, but the Upland costs slightly more. This is because the Upland comes standard with the larger 2.4-liter engine that’s available on every trim. This engine offers 180 horsepower, and it gets it without using a turbocharger. The Upland also gets gloss-black wheels, plus it has a set of black tow hooks, black and orange interior accents, and a keyless entry system with a remote start.

Limited

The Limited is the top trim for regular features. Like the Upland, the Limited comes standard with the bigger engine, plus you get features like heated leather front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and an available panoramic sunroof. Other luxury features include a 115-volt power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 7-inch instrument cluster display.

Trailhawk

The Trailhawk is the top trim and comes standard with the 4×4 drivetrain. It also offers the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, red tow hooks, extra ground clearance provided by the off-road suspension, and other features that make it the Trail Rated trim of the 2018 Renegade.

Each trim of the 2018 Jeep Renegade has its own perks to offer, but as the feature count goes up, so does the price. Still, whether you’re looking for a true bargain like the Renegade Sport or whether you want a trail-rated SUV that’s easy to park like the Renegade Trailhawk, the six trims available to Jeep’s smallest vehicle will offer any interested buyer a range of options to choose from.
