2 2019 RAM 1500'sThe 2019 Ram 1500 has been totally redesigned to be better than ever before. It’s had an exterior face-lift to make it more stylish and aerodynamic, it has more space for you and your cargo, and it has even more towing capabilities than ever before. Here’s why we think it’s absolutely amazing and we’re sure you’ll think so, too.

Redesigned Exterior

The 2019 Ram 1500 has undergone several changes. It’s now lighter, wider, and longer than previous models to give you and all of your passengers more comfort and storage space. In addition to being bigger, it’s also had several exterior changes. You’ll no longer see the crosshair grille on the 1500. Instead, you’ll find Ram branding at the front with live active grille shutters that make the truck more aerodynamic when you reach highway speed.

The Ram 1500 now has a front splitter as well that lowers 2.5 inches automatically when the car reaches a speed of 35 miles per hour. This also adds to the aerodynamic design of the 1500. The hood of the truck has been redesigned to push air up and away from the windshield to improve airflow around the truck and to keep bugs and debris from hitting the windshield.

Now Available as a Hybrid

One of the biggest changes to the 2019 Ram 1500 is that it now comes as a hybrid. There are two engine options, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that offers 305 horsepower or the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine with 395 horsepower. Both of these are paired with a motor unit that feeds energy to a 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack.

This hybrid technology, which is the same eTorque system that is used by other Fiat Chrysler automobiles, is going to come standard on all V-6 models and will be an optional upgrade on all of the V-8 models.

Best in Class Towing Capacity

The new 2019 Ram 1500 will blow away the competition with its new towing capabilities. It has been named best in class for V-8 engine towing for light-duty pickups. It can tow an enormous 12,750 pounds and carry a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds. That’s over 2,000 pounds more towing capacity and over 400 pounds more payload capacity than its previous models.

RamBox Storage Returns

For those who loved the Ram 1500 RamBox storage along the side of the truck bed, you’ll be pleased to know it’s back and better than ever. The lids are now more integrated into the side of the truck and are lockable so you don’t have to worry about your belongings.

Not only is the RamBox great for tools and personal items that you don’t want to put in the truck bed, but the boxes have also been designed to be perfect for tailgating. You can load them up with ice and keep your food and drinks cold while you’re barbecuing at the next sporting event.
