A picture of the crowds at the 2016 Arizona Taco Festival.Fall will be here sooner than you think, but don’t worry. One of the reasons so many people love this season is the abundance of fun fall events like festivals and fairs. When it comes to seasonal events, Phoenix has plenty to offer for everyone. Here are three autumn events in the Phoenix area that are worth checking out this year.

The Fall Festival at Vertuccio Farms

What fall season would be complete without checking out a local farm’s fall festival? This year, the event runs from Oct. 1 through Nov. 4 and has plenty to do for families with young children. Some of their activities include a seven-acre corn maze, farm tractor rides, and a pumpkin patch where you can pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving. You will also have the opportunity to meet with some of the farm’s adorable animals up close and personal.

The farm is located on South Mesa Road in Mesa, Arizona. If you attend on a weekend, you may be able to catch a magic show performed by Jet Veridis. Admission to the fall festival is $10 per person. Children age two and under are free.

The Arizona State Fair

When it comes to fall events, sometimes it’s go big or go home, and the Arizona State Fair is very big. This event is held annually on the Arizona State Fairgrounds located on West McDowell Road in Phoenix. Admission to the fair depends on your age. If you’re under five years old, admission is free. Children from age six to 12 are $7, while adults up to 54 years old are $10. Seniors will pay only $6.

Parking will run you between $5 and $10 depending on where you decide to park. Once inside the fairgrounds, there are plenty of attractions and exhibits to see at no additional cost. Access to the rodeos, racing, petting zoo, farm exhibits, and general-admission seating at the Arizona State Fair concerts are all included with your general admission. The only thing you need to spend money on once inside is food and any rides you may wish to ride.

For a full list of concerts, events, exhibits, and vendors check out the fair’s website.

The Arizona Taco Festival

If you’re looking for an adventurous day outside the norm of your typical fall events, be sure to check out the Arizona Taco Festival, which will be held on Oct. 13 and 14 in 2018 at Salt River Fields.

Over 50 food trucks and restaurants will be serving up amazing tacos for you to enjoy. General admission is $12 and each taco is $2. There is also a VIP ticket available which grants you admission, 10 tacos, five alcoholic beverages, and one water or soda. It also gives you access to an exclusive VIP tent which has a featured taco chef. There are also several more add-ons available which include a larger margarita glass and access to a special tequila hall.

As you can see, the Phoenix area offers a variety of fun options for folks of all ages to enjoy this autumn. No matter what you decide to do for fall fun around Phoenix, you’re bound to have a great time before winter rolls in.
