A great looking silver-grey Dodge Durango. If you’re in the market for a great vehicle that’s both rugged and refined, the Dodge Durango might be the perfect option for you. The 2019 Durango is a pleasant mixture of durability and comfort that will give you a nice smooth ride even in off-road or adverse conditions. This mid-sized seven-passenger SUV has more than enough room to cart around the entire family and comes with robust V-6 and V-8 engines that will deliver the power needed to go through anything Mother Nature can throw at you.

Check out some of the features of the Durango below to see if it’s the right fit for you.

Performance

Five trim levels with nine distinct configurations are available for the Dodge Durango. Each trim has an AWD and RWD configuration except for the SRT, so the only real difference is the engine size. The SXT, GT, and Citadel all come with a 295-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 gas-driven Pentastar engine that puts out 260 pound-feet of torque; the R/T is powered by a 360-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI that generates 390 pound-feet of torque; and finally, the SRT comes with a monstrous 475-horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8 HEMI powerplant that creates 470 pound-feet of torque and can tow up to 8,700 pounds.

With these engine options, it’s clear to see why the Dodge Durango is one of the most powerful SUVs on the market today but the performance features don’t stop there. Every trim level of the Durango comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission with optional steering wheel paddles that give precise control over acceleration, efficiency, and towing. AWD modes can be easily switched on the dash, which will come in handy if caught in a storm or entering an off-road area. Also, the Durango features near-perfect 50-50 towing and sway control to keep both the vehicle and trailer stable.

Safety

The 2019 Dodge Durango is equipped with an array of features to keep the driver and passengers safe. Starting with the body, it’s constructed from high-quality steel and designed to absorb the force of an impact while keeping its shape.

On the high-tech end, the Durango can be equipped with a backup camera as well as front, rear, and side sensors to help avoid an accident while parking, a blind-spot monitoring system to avoid lane-switching accidents on the highway, a four-wheel disc antilock brake system that keeps track of each wheel’s rotation and makes adjustments as needed to maintain traction control, and stability control to stay tight through sharp curves and other road conditions where a vehicle can slip.

Cargo Space

With two rows of seats that are easy to stow, the Dodge Durango can open up inside to a maximum space of 84.5 cubic feet, which should be more than enough for hauling cargo. With the seats up, there is obviously less available space for cargo, but the Durango should still be adequate for taking the family on vacation or loading up a large number of groceries.

The Durango is a great choice for anyone looking for a powerful SUV that can handle tough jobs, but it’s also safe enough to drive the family around in without worries. This vehicle will give you the best of both worlds.
