2020 jeep

Jeep has consistently been one of the more popular brands on the market, due in part to its vehicles’ outstanding capabilities and top-of-the-line technology. Find out more about the hotly anticipated 2020 Jeep models and what they have to offer.

2020 Jeep Gladiator

The Jeep brand is finally releasing a pickup truck for the first time in over a decade. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is based on the Wrangler SUV, offering a best-in-class towing capacity of 7,650 pounds and a powerful payload of 1,600 pounds. It also has a unique frame with Dana 44 axles, a five-link coil rear suspension, and the familiar removable soft tops and hardtops, doors, and windshield. The bed is 5 feet of steel with an aluminum tailgate for advanced durability.

For powertrains, the Gladiator will feature a base 3.6-liter V-6 that pairs to a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A 2.0-liter turbo-four with a mild-hybrid system will be available later in the model year. There’s also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 with 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. All models will come with an all-wheel-drive system and the Command-Trac system with a two-speed transfer case or the Rock-Trac 4×4 system with locking differentials and heavy-duty axles.

2020 Jeep Wrangler

Consistently one of the top sellers, the 2020 Wrangler hits the market with off-road-specialized features, brand-new technology, and a range of new convenience and comfort features. The interior receives some upgrades to make it more upscale, but it still relies on the same functional layout and rugged, durable materials for easy cleaning.

The Wrangler offers a range of engine options, beginning with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that delivers 285 horsepower, an optional mild-hybrid-assisted 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 with 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. All models are available with a range of four-wheel-drive systems to enhance their capability.

2020 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer

The 2020 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are iconic SUVs with body-on-frame construction based on the RAM architecture. Though they were discontinued in 1991, these new models are designed to compete with full-size luxury SUVs currently on the market.

With so much of the RAM carrying over into these vehicles, they’re expected to sport the same engine options. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and two Hemi V-8 options are likely on offer, as well as a possible hybrid option.

2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The next-generation 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee shares underpinnings with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and upgrades some of its previous advantages, including refinement, spaciousness, and high-end technology to combine on- and off-road manners.

The newest Grand Cherokee may also experience some engine revisions, such as a 2.0-liter turbo-four with a mild-hybrid assist system as its entry-level option. A turbocharged inline-six with eTorque for efficiency and the existing 5.7-liter V-8 with a mild-hybrid assist are also expected. Finally, the Trackhawk will most likely include the reliable 717-horsepower V-8 from the SRT Hellcat for its high-performance offering.
